About Me !

I'm a 20 year old student at Queen's University in Belfast, Northern Ireland. I'm near the end of my second year and I'm now studying Physics with Materials Science .
I live in Belfast during term time, but outside of term time I live in the Republic of Ireland at home with my family. I live in a small town called Strokestown in County Roscommon, which is approximately in the middle of Ireland.

My interests are quite wide ranging, I'm very interested in computers. Currently my main area of interest in computers is the Internet and HTML Authoring. I'm also a great fan of Science-Fiction especially Star Trek. I also like to read Science-Fiction & Thriller novels. Among my favourite authors are Stephen King and James Herbert. As for music, my tastes are extremely wide ranging, I like Blues, Soul, R&B and finally I'm known to occasionally listen to Classical music.
I've listed some of my interests below along with a few sparse links. I haven't got the time at the moment to sort out the rest of my links and add them here. Maybe I'll get some time later ! When you've finished looking at my other pages why don't you go over to

Science-Fiction

I'm a major league Star Trek fan, my favourite series was Star Trek - The Next Generation , which has unfortunately been stopped as a TV Series. But, thankfully the next few Star Trek films will have it's crew.
Of the newer Star Trek series I have to say I prefer Deep Space 9 to Voyager.

Music

The types of music I like are: Blues/R&B; Soul; and some Classical Music pretty much in that order. so far I have been able to find very few links to these, but I'm working on that all the time !
My interest in Blues music stems from a film called "The Blues Brothers" which came out in 1980. So I have also included some URL's for various bits of Blues Brothers material.
At the moment I haven't any links for my other music interests which I can show you, however I hope to have some for when I update the page next.

Online Chatting & Conferencing

My two main interests in the Internet currently are HTML and Conferencing.
For me the advantages of this form of communication is the huge audience which is out there and which wants to here what you have to say and also the speed at which communications can take place.
So with that in mind I've included my favourite links to these resources.

Computers & Technology

You've probably guessed by now that I'm quite big into computers, so this section probably won't come as any surprise to you. I'm interested in several of the platforms currently available and not so currently ! :-). At home I have an Atari STe which despite it's age and relative lack of available software I still find useful. Unfortunately, the Atari ST range of computers hsa all but collapsed at this point, so I'm going to try and keep uptodate details on software available over the 'Net for them here.

Football

I'm also a dedicated follower of soccer in the English Premier League. I support Coventry City (Laughter is not acceptable at this point). Relegation was almost an issue at the end of last season, but thankfully it was narrowly avoided. This season things haven't exactly gotten off to a roaring start, but that's football for you !

Physics

Well I am a Physicist so for anyone else who is interested I've decided to stick in a few links to useful Physics sites.

Acknowledgements & Hello's

Well, now that you have finally gotten to the bottom of this page ( I hope you enjoyed it !) I have to mention a few people quickly in conjunction with this page production. I'd like to say a quick thanks to the people at Cafe Utne who provided me with help on finding out about HTML. The many links that were provided to me by members were very useful. Also TVM to GEOCITIES for hosting the page

Now hello to; Steaua
